Remote AccessTM Mutual Aid Initiative
The need for agencies to share site and map information with their mutual aid and automatic aid partners and neighboring response agencies has never been greater. Recent tragic events have underscored the critical need for neighboring departments to share not only physical assets, as traditional with mutual aid partners, but information as well for multi-agency response situations.
Group 1 would like to facilitate the information sharing need for its clients. As such, effective 1 November 2003 , Group 1 Solutions, Inc. is pleased to extend to all existing Remote Access TM clients, as well any organization considering Remote Access TM, the Remote Access TM Mutual Aid Initiative . Under this first time ever offering, Group 1 will provide the following to support mission-critical site and map information exchange among neighboring departments:
- For fire clients, all other Fire Departments in your county will be eligible to receive one free copy each of Remote Access TM and, with your permission, your maps, pre-plans, site databases, aerial and site photography, videos, etc. For law enforcement clients, the same is true for all other law enforcement agencies in your county.
It is the sincere intent of Group 1 that Remote Access TM support unified command, multi-agency response, and navigation capabilities throughout a jurisdiction. Group 1 has also prepared a Remote Access TMRegional Response and Readiness White Paper for information sharing over large geographic areas beyond those of traditional mutual aid.
